About Slaying Dragons

Slaying Dragons fulfills its mission through the use of theatrical productions to educate and challenge its audiences and to begin a conversation about depression, PTSD, addiction, schizophrenia and other mental health disorders. Our Spring 2022 season, focused on Alzheimer's and dementia with our production of "Crossing the Abyss" based on the play Loop.

Slaying Dragons has been in existence for 14 years and has focused on mental health of adults. For this upcoming season, we will be expanding our performances on the mental health of adolescents and teenagers.

Our not -for-profit (501c3) organization's mission is to destroy the stigma of mental illness.

Capturing moments: Our journey in photos. The weekend of November 18-22, marked the 12th anniversary fundraiser for the theatre company Slaying Dragon

    November 2023

The play is called, My River, My Valley by Ron Osborne. The story is about two sisters who face the loss of their home and react in very different ways. The dialogue reflects both depression and hope with humor and deep, powerful emotion. While set in the past, the same decisions face our seniors citizens today.
